File Preparation Guidelines

Step 1: Ensure your design meets the required dimensions. Set the artwork in CMYK mode, at 300 DPI, and include a 1/16 inch bleed on all sides.

Step 2: Embed all images and convert all text to outlines to prevent font issues.

Step 3: Export the final design as a PDF with bleeds for print-ready formatting.

Important Instructions for Foil Business Cards

To ensure the best results and avoid delays or unexpected print issues, please follow these guidelines:

• Use fonts larger than 8pt for clarity.

• Choose sans-serif fonts for the best foil application.

• Do not place artwork directly underneath foil areas — instead, use a proper foil mask.

• Avoid large foil-covered areas combined with fine, non-foil text or linework. These areas may fill in and lose detail.

Important Note on Foil Edges:
Our foil machine manufacturer does not recommend extending foil designs all the way to the trimmed edge. Foil near the edges has a high risk of peeling. To prevent this, a minimum 5mm foil-free margin is required around all edges.

If your file is submitted with foil to the edge (full bleed), our system will automatically add this 5mm gap. Please note: the unfoiled border may be visible as a result. For best results, avoid full-bleed foil designs.
